A tear-off daily calendar designed as part of the closing project for the Imperial Theatre in Tokyo, which has been temporarily closed since the end of February 2025.
 

We carefully wandered through every corner of the theatre—from the auditorium and lobby to backstage areas including the dressing rooms—photographing each and every “number” embedded within its many scenes, and compiled them into a tear-off daily calendar.

From numbers instantly recognizable to everyone, to those quietly residing in places rarely entered by the public, this book gently encloses the traces of time and presence that have long supported the theatre.

2025年2月末をもって一時休館している帝国劇場のクロージング企画に寄せてデザインした日めくりカレンダーです。帝国劇場内をくまなく巡り、客席やロビーはもちろん、楽屋を含む舞台裏に至るまで、あらゆる景色の中に存在する「数字」を一つひとつ写真に収め、日めくりカレンダーとして仕立てました。
誰もが見覚えのある数字から、普段は足を踏み入れない場所にひっそりと佇む数字まで、劇場を支えてきた時間や気配をそのまま閉じ込めた一冊です。
